Alfonso Tamayo studied Fine Arts (speciality in Painting) in the Universitat de Barcelona, but he never stopped drawing comics since the 80s. With some friends, he created the zine Sólo para locos, and he started collaborating on magazines like Madriz or Medios Revueltos. In 1990 he began his participation on the magazine Makoki, and during the 90s he published several books with publishers like El Pregonero, Ediciones del Khan, La Factoría de Ideas or Amaníaco Ediciones. He also participated in many anthologies. He has given classes in art academies and has had exhibitions set in Barcelona, Madrid, Gernika, Balearic Islands, Granada, Angoulême and La Louviêre (France) and Sierre (Switzerland).
