Kati Rapia just won the Finnish State Prize for Comics (Sarjakuvataiteen valtionpalkinto)!
The prize is dedicated to her livelong dedication to comics attached to her personal style. And specially to her last book "PYRSTÖTÄHTI ja Maailman Lopun Meininki", published recently in her country.
Onnea, Kati!
Our beloved Kati Rapia has a new book in Finland! It's called "PYRSTÖTÄHTI ja Maailman Lopun Meininki" and it tells the story of Sigfrid Aronius Forsius, a multi-talented scientist and artist from the XVI century. The book has been co-written with Juha Hurme and has been published by the Finnish publishing house Teos. It doesn't include translation, but the most comprehensive collectors can buy it here.
We'll be at the DIY zine and music fair Autoplacer Festival in Móstoles (Madrid) this Saturday. Come meet us from 12am to 12pm!

On Wednesday Silvia will also perform her paper puppeteer show!

We recommend you Kati Rapia's new book, "Käsi keittiössä"! It's her first book since "Yellow Bird".
It's a recipe book illustrated with her wonderful drawings, and Napa's hard cover edition is beautiful.
The book is in Finnish, but they promise there'll be an English version soon.
Bon appetit!
